Daniel Dae Kim

Daniel started his professional career in New York, where his first role was (a very young) Torvald in Ibsen's classic, A Doll's House. Many jobs followed, including Romeo and Juliet, and TV's All My Children and Law & Order. After a few years of working steadily, he decided it was time to go back to school and he enrolled in NYU's Tisch School of the Arts to receive a Master's degree in Acting. There he performed in a number of well known works, including Posthumus in Cymbeline, Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Leontes in The Winter's Tale, all by William Shakespeare. Upon graduation, Daniel stayed in New York to work on the New York premiere of The Chang Fragments, at the Public Theater, written by MacArthur Fellow Han Ong. Upon successfully completing that production, Daniel moved to Los Angeles, where he has been lucky enough to play a number of widely varying roles, including Lt. John Matheson, a series regular on the science fiction show, Crusade, which just recently finished its run on TNT. He has also appeared in films such as For Love of the Game, and The Jackal, starring Richard Gere and Bruce Willis. On TV he has had guest starring roles on NYPD Blue, Ally McBeal, Seinfeld, and The Practice among many others. His most recent appearance was onstage, where he played the lead in David Henry Hwang's Golden Child in Los Angeles.
